Monday: A Few of My Favorite Things

Thinking back in the day when I first sang the song A Few of My Favorite Things, from the Sound of Music, it got me thinking about the things in my life that I don't think I could live without.

So, when the dog bites, when the bee stings or when I'm just feeling sad, I simply remember my favorite things and then, I don't feel so bad.

My first favorite thing that I want to share is this lovely coffee mug I received from a friend of mine.

Complete with a cute skull in front of the mug.

AND the most wonderful and comfortable handle for a coffee mug.

I know it's easy to think of things that you WISHED you had (trust I do that too), but why not think of things that you already do have and enjoyed in your life.

Thank you Rachael for this lovely/wonderful mug. I use it daily to start my day off right!

Oh, so YUMMY!!

So, I've noticed that I haven't been writing so much on this blog because of my love for cupcakes and posting my wonderful cupcakes on Treat Yourself Cupcakes Blog spot.

But Jim and myself have found a wonderful restaurant that we BOTH love. Where is this marvelous place you ask? None other than 75th Street Brewery in Kansas City MO. It has wonderful food and yes beer!

I give it two thumbs up and suggest that you all go and check it out!

Last Cake Class-For Basic Cake Decorating

Well, it had to end sometime!

Although, there were some times when I got very frustrated with myself; I did enjoy the class.

A BIG thank you to my friend Erin for doing the cake class with me. You kept me entertained and pretty much on track... ;-)

The cake that I made was a white cake with marshmallow icing inside and out.
I decorated it with pink dots and pink shaggy mums.
Sadly, the flowers got smashed before I got the picture.. :-/ (that was my own doing)

This is Erin and myself, we are very proud to get our certificates from Wilton Cakes!

No Words can Express

Since I woke up WAY too early today for work, I had a lot of time to think about what I want to do in my future.

I know it's silly and I do think about it a lot, but I would LOVE to have my own cupcake bakery. Most of you are  probably thinking that this is truly coming out of nowhere, but it's not.

I adore cupcakes, I adore making and decorating them and eating them isn't too bad either! If there was only one thing that I could bake it would be delicious cupcakes!

My problem is that I don't know where to start. I've found a cute place to have my bakery and I know what I'm going to bake and how I would like for everything to look, but how do I get there?

So many questions.....

{If anyone has any answers for me please comment!}
