Gender Reveal Games & Food

We all know the only reason people come to a gender reveal party is to find out what the happy couple is having.
But why stop there? Make your gender reveal party something special for everyone to remember.

Food:

Our family is a VERY helpful kind of family. I had made out a list of what was going to be served at the party, and we are so lucky that our Mothers, Grandma, and Sisters took care of all the food items on that list. (Which also made a VERY easy clean up)

This was an idea that I got from another blogger. Buy Hershey bars and then color in He in blue She in pink. It's just something cute for everyone to oooo and awww over.

The food table complete with everything Sarah (myself) has been craving. Naturally this isn't everything I've been craving just the easy things to prepare.

Cravings: S'mores poptarts, chocolate chip cookies, potato salad, and pasta salad. The fruit didn't make the table in time for the picture, but it was there. :)

Games:
Lets make your family and friends wait longer by making them having vote on what the happy couple is having.
Voting-

Each person had to write their name on a mini onesie as to what they thought we were having. This was made mainly for those who thought to wear pink and blue to the party, so at the end they still had to vote boy or girl!

This chart was made with the same scrapbooking paper as the invites and decorations. Poster board was also purchased at the Dollar Tree for $.50

Gender Reveal Decorations

I wanted the decorations to be cute, but easy on the wallet.
I used the scrap-booking paper that I had used for the invites to make onesies. I then hung the onesies on a ribbon above our doorway.
The color theme was pink and blue, just so we could have our guest still wondering what we were having.

The snack table.
This part was very easy and I didn't have to spend much. The paper goods I got at our local Dollar Tree Store, along with the candy dishes, plastic table cloth, and decor stones. The flowers and vase I already had at the house.

I also used this lovely picture frame that was given to us as a housewarming gift to display our baby's pictures at 18wks and 20wks.

I hope this helps with your upcoming gender reveal party.

Felps Nursery

Getting our Nursery Ready for Baby Felps.

The baby is coming soon and my mind is on getting the nursery ready for our sweet Baby.
The theme for our Baby's nursery is Beatrix Potter.
I loved Peter Rabbit when I was younger and wanted to share that with our Baby. I've only got a few items so far, but wanted to share them.

 Got these cute little stuffed Beatrix Potter dolls at a garage sale for $.15
 Got the Peter Rabbit book and Baby Book at Barnes and Noble. I found the Peter Rabbit bank at a online store.
Peter Rabbit Outfit was also found at a garage sale.

Slowly, but surely our nursery is coming together. My wonderful Mother in Law and  Grandma are making the Baby quilt and curtains for the nursery. Soon we'll get some Peter Rabbit wall art. We are 100% excited for our little Angel.

House Warming Party

Finally, the time came where me and my husband were ready to have our family and friends join us in our new lovely home.

I wanted to keep the house warming party simple, but still nice.

My husband made his delicious pulled pork sandwiches, we also provided chips and salsa, watermelon, tea, and lemonade. We asked our guest to bring one side dish, and boy did they ever.
I think our house warming party went very well. Here are some pictures of our fun filled day.

 Everyone loves popcorn!
 Silly Straws for the Kids
 Food every where!

The End.

Gender Reveal Party Invites

Baby Felps will be here before we know it, and let me tell you; I'm excited!

Having a Baby is a very exciting time for everyone in the family, so I wanted to get everyone involved with our pregnancy.

I was looking up Baby Shower ideas and came across a gender reveal party. It looked like something that everyone would enjoy and what better way to get ALL the family together. So, I talked to my husband and he was more than willing to through our little one a party.

I've been working really hard on the invitations and finally got them done.
Here's a peak at the invitations.

Exciting Trip to Philadelphia

So I'm really excited about this trip that we are taking to Philadelphia tomorrow, for two reasons......

1) Jim's brother Bill is getting married to a lovely lady.

 Bill and Jim
{Brothers}
Kerry Ann and Bill
{Soon to be Husband and Wife}

2) Seeing family getting married is pretty awesome in its self, but being able to do this and go out of state makes it even more awesome. I've never been to Philadelphia and I'm more than excited to get to go. The last time me and Jim went on a big vacation was back in 2007 when we went to Chicago. We've been on small vacation like St. Louis, Springfield, and Omaha. [Small vacation=places that are 3-4hrs away]

Pictures will be posted as soon as I can get them up here.

{Congratulations Bill and Kerry Ann!}
