30 Day Letter Challenge- Letter 3

30 Day Letter Challenge

Letter 3- Letter to your Parents

Dear Parents,

Oh where do I begin; you know I am grateful for everything you all have done for me. And I know that you wish you could do more, but believe me you have done enough. You raised me to do my best, to finish what I started, to be a good employee, and to be a great Mother. Money does not grow on trees, treat people the way you want to be treated, if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all, help those who can not help themselves; all words that have been said to me and words that I will pass on to my family. Thank you for everything you have done for me and our family.

Thank you,
Your Daughter

30 Day Letter Challenge

Letter 2- Letter to your crush

Dear Husband,

After being together for 5 yrs, being married 1 out of the 5yrs you still remain to be my crush. I don't think much needs to be said other than I love you. You were the missing piece of my life for a very long time, I went through heartache, lonely nights, and tearful days. And knowing what I know now, feeling what I feel now I would put up with it over and over again knowing that it would end with you. You and Maybelline make my heart complete.

Love,
Your Wife

30 Day Letter Challenge-letter 1

If you are unsure of what I'm doing click Here.

Letter 1 letter to your best friend.

Dear Best Friend,

Thinking back on the day we might, I would have never of thought we would become the best of friends. We met through friends, but became friends when we had a creative writing class together our sophomore year in high school. Our friendship bloomed into something  beautiful. Not only did we have the same interests, but people also thought we looked a like. Knowing this we of course bought matching clothes and would wear them on the same day, just to through off people. We are now just as good as friends as we were then. Even though we don't get to see each other everyday, or even get to talk to each other everyday I want you to know that you are a very dear friend of mine. You were there for me when times were hard and never judged me on my faults and to me that makes a best friend. Secrets will always be safe between us, laughter will always be shared, and love will always have a place in our hearts. You are a wonderful friend, Mother, and sister. People who know you will forever be blessed to have you in their lives.

Sincerely,
Your Sister from another Mother
XOXO

Birthday Gift Basket part-1

One of my goals this year was to make my family and friends their Birthday gifts.

I've been planning my Sister's gift for a while now and I came up with this.

A beauty gift basket. :)

-Loofah
Making every (but the loofah and basket) was pretty easy. And I think I'm off to a good start with my homemade gifts.

Lip Balm

I used a Altoids tin for the lip gloss, decorated with newspaper scraps and scrapbooking stickers.

Hand Cream

Easy as pie, mix all ingredients together.

St. Patrick's Day 2012

Every year we get together and have a St. Patrick's Day dinner, this year was a little more special. It was Maybelline's first St. Patrick's Day.

We waited all day and was tortured by the smell of yummy corned beef and cabbage, not really knowing what we were going to bring I remembered a fun little snack that I saw on Pinterest. I showed this to Jim and thought it would be a great snack before we eat the delicious corned beef and cabbage.

Corned beef made by my Mom
Veggies(cabbage, carrots, and potatoes) made by my Grandpa

and here's the little snack that me and Jim made. Strawberries, oranges, pineapple, kiwi, blue berries, grapes, and the pot of gold (Reese's mini peanut butter cups)

What do you do on St. Patrick's Day?

One year ago today.

One year ago today, I got the most amazing and blissful news.
March 18, 2011 I found out that I was pregnant.
I'll be honest I didn't think the pregnancy test was telling me the truth, I didn't believe I could have been so blessed so quickly after trying.
So I did what any woman would do, I went and got one of those REALLY expensive pregnancy tests that says in print if I was pregnant or not pregnant. Sure enough in big black bold letters read PREGNANT. I jumped on the bed and whisper in my husband's ear, "You're going to be a Daddy." Never in our lives together have I ever seen him get up so fast. And I still haven't. ;)

Here's the blogs that I wrote after finding out and telling our families.
